The Sustainability on My Mind program wishes to bring a fun but safe way to connect people in the community and share SCAN’s passion for environmental sustainability. The program was born to allow Canadian residents to learn new skills and practical self-sufficiency methods that cost little to no money.
To kick off the program, SCAN will host a series of workshops between November 2022 to June 2023 that will teach residents in the low-income neighbourhood of Malton, Mississauga, about eco-friendly, cost-efficient lifestyle strategies that households can practice on their own. The Community Foundations of Canada (CFC) is funding the workshops.

Our Strategic Plan
- SCAN aims to provide employment and experiential learning opportunities for individuals, from within the Malton community to be involved in the delivery of the project.
- The participation of community members will contribute to the execution of the project by facilitating activities in each workshop.
- The implementation of volunteers will give opportunities for community engagement, cultural exchange, as well as high school volunteer hours.
